helpful hints

Did you know that your iPad programs are always running in the background? You can close your programs (and save some battery life) by double clicking the HOME button at the bottom of your iPad. It will display all the open programs across the bottom. Hold your finger on the app and a minus sign will come up in the upper left hand corner of the app. Click the minus sign and the app will close. This will NOT hurt anything.

Has your iPad ever frozen while using an app? From Apple Support

Restarting your device

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
  2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Follow these steps to reset your device

Note: Reset your device only if it is no longer responding and the steps above do not work.

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

helpful free apps

There are two apps that have been shared with me and I wanted to pass these along to you:

Common Core Standards - This app has all of the Common Core Standards K-12.

iBrainstorm - This app is really cool and allows kids to create graphic organizers using movable "sticky" notes and lines can be drawn to connect the notes. Once the graph is complete, it can be emailed to yourself to print or you can save it in your photos.

Both of these apps are FREE :)
